will there be a way to migrate/import my photopost gallery into the ubbt photo gallery?

highly doubtful; the ubb7 gallery isn't really what you'd think of as a gallery; it's a forum with a differant template which allows uploading photos into it...

Now importing your images however from an actual gallery, would likely be quite tricky (but an interesting project none the less).

I am sure that as the gallery software improves over time, and import may well be possible - but I guess it is a few versions away yet.

i peeked at the cgi based photopost schema and it's not too bad. nothing too terrible to understand.

i'm assuming that they've gone to the php world by now though and have no clue or interest in their product.

gallery2 is free and blows them out of the water. coppermine seems to be stalled at a version, but doesn't even hold a candle to gallery2 either.

I agree with you about gallery; in fact when Rick was looking for how he wanted things to act I sugguested him looking at Gallery several times...

I think if Gallery2's UI could be customized to look like G1 I'd upgrade to it

yah, i agree on that point giz. gallery 1 just came out with a new version too.

so it could be a tough call.

regardless, both products are superior than any gallery i've come across and they're FREE.. hard to beat.

Agreed... I just REALLY like the look of G1, and can't come up with a good looking G2 theme; and I'm WELL over the ammount of photos they recommend for G1 lol...

I got 130

So I suppose I can't upload the family and other pics in that gallery. Have over 4,000 images.

lol just dump them all, we need no fancy pages!
