I just deleted the forum and redid the whole thing in GD2 and it works now.....not sure how or what but it does.

I deleted the forum and added a new one. I used GD2 before... But it did not help, still the same problem...

Make sure all of these directories are 777:
gallery/
All of the directories within gallery/
tmp/

Then make sure your ImageMagick paths are correct or that your GD is properly etup (and has all the required options).

There is a test URL to test GD or ImageMagick, but I'm not sur what it is, I tend to just enable captcha and see if it properly loads as a test.

You can test if either IM or GD2 are working this way, you must be logged in as an admin to perform this test:

To test ImageMagick:
ubbthreads.php?ubb=captcha&t=im&test=1

To test GD2:
ubbthreads.php?ubb=captcha&t=gd&test=1

I check again all directories of the galleries and tmp. They are all 777. I also tried to use the attachment. The attachment works. I see the corresponding file in the tmp directory, but only that one.

I then tested GD2. It works perfect. I see the catcha after adding the test sequence to the address bar...

Any other test or suggestions??

It works now. I am not shure what made it working, but I think it was the activation of the attachment for this gallery forum. But I think that I tried this before...

May be also because I tried to add a file as an attachment in another forum...

Definitely I had to submit the gallery setting before, even I did not change them at all
