I want to use the gallery function of the new board, which was one of the reasons for me to went through all the problems with updating the forum. But now I only see the filename and not the picture

I am having the same problem.....might be some settings are wrong?? I am having a hard time figuring this one out...

I checked the 777 for the directories that is ok....

I am thinking maybe we don't have the path to the gallery set correctly????? UGH.....LOL

There is no place to set this path....

Do either of you see any files in any of the gallery directories? Are you using ImageMagick or GD? Right now we don't have a lot of debugging experience with gallery problems since it's new so it's somewhat hard to tell what could be going on. The best bet would be to open a trouble ticket so I can take a look at things.

thanks Rick.....no, I checked...it did not upload the photos and I am using imagemagick so I am going to try again.....if I cannot get it, I will open a ticket

There is nothing in the gallery directories, even it told me that the upload was OK. I am using GD2

I had to submit first the gallery settings, before it would work

Also check the tmp/ directory as well. What it does is initially upload to the tmp/ directory, and then once you submit the post it is supposed to move them to one of the gallery subdirectories.

So, what you could do is upload a picture, but don't actually submit the post and then take a look in the tmp/ directory and see if it actually got uploaded for the first step.

Also the tmp directory is empty, except index.html. The tmp directory is 777

I did add a new picture in the given gallery and then I checked the tmp directory. It is empty. But the File manager tells me, taht it is there and can also be removed.
