The smilie shortcode doesn't work when it isn't a word. That is quite OK, but very annoying when a smilie is at the end of a sentence. I noticed a lot of people on my board ends their sentence with a smilie. This results in the smilie not being converted. I am aware this isn't a real bug, but it's an annoince I've got multiple complaints about. So can you change that a dot at the end of a smilie shortcode, still will be converted to the icon? E.g. This should be changed :). -> This should be changed .

Yeh, i think this is more of an inconvieniance than a bug... It works this way as to not convert words into smilies, some logic to see if there is a period after the smilie would be nifty though
Bummer. Does anyone of you has the code for this fix? So I can "loan" it in the meantime .
Also, I was thinking about an extra feature by giving multiple shortcodes for one icon. This to be more friendly to IM users that use the quick-reply box all the time. With this I mean that
should be possibly by doing : P and : p or even :-p ;p or 8-p
What do you mean by that? Where do I modify the bbcode?
In my opninion it would be nice that shortcodes could be seperated by some kind of seperator (duh) and that that could be entered via the CP. I think the ? sign would be a good sepator. So in my example I would enter the following shortcode for the :p?;p?8p?:-p?8-p
