OK, this is probably already on here somewhere, but then again maybe not since it is rather stupid that I can't figure it out. But, for some reason I cannot figure out how to "quote" someone so the sentences or paragraphs are placed in my post in the box.

If I understand you correctly, you just need to click on 'quick quote' underneath the original posting.

Or, 'switch to full reply screen' and click on the icon (3 icons to the left of the smiley button above).

This happens when you use 'quick quote'

You can also hit the "quote" option, it'll send the text (and you) to the "full reply" page. "Quick Quote" utilizes the Quick Reply box.

So when you hit quick quote, it automatically puts everything in the reply box, and then you edit it the way you want.

I know this sounds so simple...I was just having trouble with the logistics of it.

No problem Bert. We all started out as know nothing noobs at one time. No one just walked up to a computer and knew what to do.

Just investigate and read up on things and experiment to learn more. Just be careful in the Control Panel as some experimenting can cause problems that could be hard to correct.
