I upgraded to threads about 2 weeks ago and everything was working wonderfully well. Now, all of a sudden and without any changes, the gallery images are not displaying and the dreaded red "x" is displaying instead. I haven't started investigating root cause yet; however, I wanted to search these forums first - but I cannot get search to work right so I wanted to post to ask if anyone had seen this issue occur before.

It's not open to guest but you should be able to see the issue in the left pane of the portal, as well.

Looks like it may have been a permissions issue. I set the permissions on all files and subdirectories (gallery and below) to 777 and it may have helped. Not sure what happened. Hmmm.

Ok, I woke up this morning and the images weren't show up again. I did the quick fix of setting permissions for gallery and all subfolders and files in the subfolders to 777 and they are showing up again. What's the root cause of this issue? Anyone know?

It sounds like something is changing permissions on those files. Nothing in the scripts change permissions on the files/folders that already exist.

What are the permissions set to when you have to change them, is it the files or the folders that have the wrong permissions, or both?
