One of my members requested that I add a new category which I tried to do in control panel. I click add new category (under category settings) then it went to the create new category and I typed in category name and also category description.

Then clicked add category and then it said that the new category has been created. Then went to category settings where it showed up the new category to which I then clicked update but the new category did not show up on the forum.

Is this a fault or something that I have done incorrectly?

cfrm will query the DB and place all forums in their assigned categories.

if it comes up empty for certain category(s), it assumes there is no reason to display that category.

soooo... you need to add at least ONE active forum for your newly created category to get it to be worth displaying
