I want to display some messages only to guests in header.tpl , but I don't know how to tell guests from logged_in users .
How to achieve this ?

You know, I was actually planning to work on an addon which would tell guests of potential benefits to registering via using one of the custom islands, but had yet to really look at how it'd be done due to various things i was already working on ;)...
