Does anyone know the meaning of this error message:

"The POST method does not allow the data transmitted, or the data volume exceeds the capacity limit."

The poster said he tried posting a short post in the forum and the above message popped up after trying to post it. Also the poster noted the following: "The entire post from the previous poster didn't show until I tried posting back using the quote feature."

Any ideas? Thanks.

I believe this is actually an apache setting, LimitRequestBody perhaps. Are you on a hosted server or is this your own server?

Hi, Rick:

The site is on a hosted server.

Ok, if it's on a hosted server, then you'll want to send that error to your host and find out what restrictions they have in place. Also, find out if the user in question was just making a post or trying to do any type of attachment/upload as the host will probably want to know exactly what was being posted.

Okay, thanks. I have a feeling that because the poster is a newbie, he was trying to do something weird.

Thanks for your help.
