I am considering upgrading to threads from classic. Will my current user database and member files be taken into threads from classic when I upgrade or will I loose everything?

Cool, I registered for the trial but never got a chance to download it and play with it as it only has a 3 day setting so I was turned off by that.

I did download the test tool but I need to put together a bigger server for the site. I have so many questions but probably will just spend the $700+ bucks to get it then play with it later.

The only thing at this time I have concerns about is the MySQL database. I know I am most likely pushing my luck by posting in this area now.

As long as you have a current subscription you can just download the latest version and play with that smile

$700? where did that figure come from? It's $99 member area renewal on your license to upgrade to threads; unless you wanted to upgrade to a gold license immediately lol...

BTW, AFAIK the trial is a locally (on ubbcentral) hosted deal as the basecode would allow anyone to use it indefinitely vs a download.

Wanted a whole new license. I have 2 other licenses. Planning on upgrading one of my communities and then being allowed to use that old license and software for something else. I like keeping my options open.

I was meerely stating you don't have to buy a gold license; there are other options available if you rather not just throw down a giant wad...
