Hi,

After having some problems with a member account. I deleted it.
Now, when again trying to register this member under the same name, I get an error message saying that I'm not allowed to use a registered or reserved name.
I did clear the board Cache and rebuild the Indexes.

Somebody an idea, where to look for ???

you also need to delete the name out of the file "used_name_list.cgi" to use the same member name again. It is a good idea to turn off registration while doing this then turn it back on after you have edited the file and put it back on the site.

Remember to download and upload in ASCII only.

I did check this file already, but it doesn't contain the particular name. I also looked in all the files but can't find a reference to it.
I also cleared the Cache (on the Forum and on my PC.

Did you try to rebuild your member stuff in the control panel?

Thats is the only place I ever had to go to get rid of a name like that then rebuilt the member database in the control panel. Clearing cache will not help you as that is pretty much for the forum's and post's.
