Ive got a big problem with my UBBthread.
After few minutes of use, the w3t_Posts table get locked, all other request are getting in the queue, until the server crash...

Is there someone having the same problem ?

My linux box is a 2.2.19 with PHP 4.0.6 patched and Mysql 3.23.48.

How large is your board? How many members? How much space does your host allocate for your MySQL database to be? Have you exceeded that limit?

398.469 messages in a 214.4 Mo table.

This is a migration frum another forum. We launch it yesterday and have to go back to the old forum. Yesterday, we had near 100 people connected at the same time (from de Who is online menu).

How much space does your host allocate for your MySQL database to be?

We have our own server (500Mhz, 256Mo RAM) with big disk drive. usr/local/ is 32% used ( total:4.9G used:1.5G avail:3.2G).

Have you exceeded that limit?

We put a limit for max_connections to 25 because it may crash our server if we put 100 or 150. Because table is locked, all other requests are stored in queue until the queue is full and max_connections is 25.

We've upgraded Mysql to 3.23.49a but we still have the problem.

You, might want to look into upgrading your version of php. There was a user over on threadsdev that was running 4.0.6 that was having the same problem, in that PHP wasn't releasing the database handles, even when persistant connections were turned off. They upgraded php to fix this issue.
