We are using v. 7.2.2 and cannot seem to get Polls to appear in Gallery. We do have the checkboxes marked in:
Forums > Gallery Forum > Forum Permissions > Allow Members to create polls?
AND
Forums > Gallery Forum > Forum Permissions > Allow Polls to be created in replies?

The Polls Manager Option does not show up when Moderators, Administrators or Users Post a New Topic. Is there a way to do this?

In the forum settings do you have polls turned on for the forum in question?

yes, it is turned on.

What was the resolution for this? I'm having this same problem in 7.5.3. Even though the permissions allow polls, there is no option in the post to create a poll. There's not even a New Topic button - only New Image.

Polls do not work in gallery forums, for the 7x series at least.
Even though the permissions allow you set them to allow a few different features, Once you designate a forum as a gallery forum it is what it is.
Only things you can change really is the specific gallery items for permissions.

Somewhere back a while I requested that a gallery forum allow you to set all the same features as a regular forum for a feature request.

wouldn't be a big change to allow polls in REPLIES for a gallery forum...

Every year we have an "It Ran When I Parked It" contest. Members send in photos of abandoned trucks and vote on the best ones. In the past they sent them in through email, but we thought we'd try the Forum this time. I guess we'll use a "regular" forum and not allow replies.

What we had in mind was to post the pictures and add the poll to each picture so members could vote on it.

Nice feature thought. Hopefully it will make it in the stock code soon.

Wed do a weekly photo contest. I know in the past I mentioned it would be nice for me to create a post for the week and others could add their images then have a poll. Hope one day that can happen
