Very cool that this is now completed, Rick! Congratulations to you and all the Beta testers!

Before I upgrade my community, I'd like to create a test board--just to practice the install, etc., since it's been a long, long time since I've played with any of this.

I have a stupid question regarding that: this test board would not in any way impact my current board, correct? In other words, at this time, I would not have to back-up my live board.

no, as long as you use a different database.

However I would always recommend having a regular backup of both your site and it's database.

Has anyone come up with a nice friendly-looking list and explanation of new things for users in 7.3 for their forums?

(Like the changelog, but a bit more expansive)

Rick, you and all the Beta testers did a bang up job.
I've been watching all the comments and I can't wait to upgrade to 7.3.
There's some great stuff in it.

I did a upgrade on my test server to see how it would go and all that before trying in my public site. I do this so my mods and admins can learn the new stuff before we toss them to the dogs, lol.

When I got into the CP and seen all the new stuff I was completely blown away by all the changes and additions. Great work.

I have made several changes to the UBB tags that were suggested by Giz on this forum, especially the embedded video stuff (youtube, break, etc). Is the place where I need to make the PHP code changes in the same place?
