I try to made a new add-on and cannot find out how to disable the right sidebar if it on. I use the sample.inc.php script to play a little bit with it. It should be very easy to do, but how?

under Portal layout - this should then disable within threads.

I mean from a script, not by user settig.

This will remove it for everyone including you. (assuming you do not enable the portal)

Maybe I am just reading your initial post incorrectly.

I think he means that IF his script dictates, it'd replace the sidebar, ELSE the sidebar remains... one or the other takes up that space.

I create a new Add-On like the chat room add-on. It based on scripts/sample.inc.php
If you open this add-on I like to remove the right sidebar (if it turned on by default or user) for this page only independent from the user layout setting to get more space to the right.

On this, I would prefer an easy way to include or disable sidebars (in your case) on particular pages without using the wrapper.

Sorry - and no I do not know how to disable it on just one page (I thought you wanted it disabled, whilst you test it - sorry)
