in ubbt_FORUMS FORUM_ID is an int(9)
In ubbt_FORUM_PERMISSIONS FORUM_ID is a varchar(100)

Looks like a waste

even int(9) is overkill -- but yah varchar(100)

the FORUM_PERMISSIONS_FORUM one is due to the fact that these aren't all numeric and can be a template name. It can contain words as well for templates (it holds the stock template) and also future plans for the ability to create other permission templates.
