We're still stuck on jpgs not opening in-line.

any image posted prior to Jan 2008 is being sent out to an external viewer, ie instead of opening in the browser as it should. All images posted after Jan 2008 are opening just fine. Which suggests to me that anything posted version 6 won't open properly while anything posted after installing version 7 does.

I'm looking at the files on the drive and one thing that stands out is the filename structure. Seems prior attachments pre-2008 are labeled 277305-Peony2CloseUp.jpg while post-2008 the file is 377272.jpg

Rick, I'm assuming there was a change from version 6 to 7 in how attachments were saved?

Yes, you are correct - the changes weren't retroactive. It's possible you can use a MySQL command to address those from before, but you run the risk of deleting a lot of content if you get the command wrong.

Yes, a full backup of the DB before any type of search and replace would be in order.

There are a few people that might be able to help you with that. Rick, SD come to mind but there may be others. I only dabble with it so I'd love to help you but can't.
