I don't use the private messaging system on my boards (due to spammers). As a result the icon flashes all the time. How do I disable/stop that please? Any suggestions?

At the moment it says you must be an admin to view this page, when they click on the flashing mail icon.

I'd just remove the link from templates/default/header.tpl
