I used the YouTube link to embed. I didn't know this wouldn't work!

Still, I suppose it's feasible that other users may make the same mistake?

This is the problem - if they input anything after say MWp5fuwsERk&hl then it fails

With characters such as & within the youtube url it is hard to tell where it ends.

Not to mention other youtube domains.

ITs the URL to the page, not the URL to the video.

Actually, the URL to the video is completely differant, as it's /v/vidid vs watch/vidid

Yeah, I see that now.
Problem is though, if I can make this mistake, so will (many) users.

Whilst not a major problem, perhaps there could be a way of alerting the users to potential mishaps?
