We just updated our system from 6.2 to 6.5 then to 7.3.1.

All "Users" (not administrators) are now getting this message when they log in and try to view the forum list:

"there are no forums for you to view"

Permissions for all forums have been updated to allow guests and users to see forums.

We're stuck. Any ideas???

The board is here: http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/

Hmm, I just registered a new account and was able to login and view forums ok.

What you can do is edit one of the users in questions and make sure that they belong to the proper group (users by default).

OK, we found out that during the upgrade, almost all users were imported as "Moderators". We fixed that and now they can see the forums without the error message.

When new users signed up, they were correctly categorized as "Users" and they worked OK.

The strange thing is that moderators should have been able to see all the forums according to the permissions???

Oh well, it's working now.

Thanks for trying smile

Russ
