Hi there,

after moving from one server to another we had to upload the complete databases to ubb threads. 57 files work properly when being uploaded. But it wouldn´t work with two CSV files, ubbt_POSTS and ubbt_PRIVATE_MESSAGE_POSTS (nearly 19 MB). It says they are too big. We have no explanation for that. Any ideas?

Sorry, my English is not very good.

You can try this: http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php
~bigdump never worked for me.....

OR

You can upload all your .sql files onto your server via FTP then enter them in the MySQL database by hand through telnet. If you do not have telnet access perhaps your server provider can help you.

I don't know Gizmo, I'm my own provider so I never worry about those trivial things.

Even if you are your own host you should use SSH -vs- telnet.

Telnet transmits everything in clear text... eek

I will make a deal with you. We will get in the phone together and I will give you the IP address then I will log into the server in telnet and you monitor my server port for the communications and tell me what I am doing and what text is going back and forth.

But why not just use SSH and be done with it?

Not looking for a pissing match here boys, just offering some suggestions.

Feel free to use what works for you.

thx for you feedback guys. Our server provider caused the problem. There was simply not enough space for all our data.
