A user had his account deleted by request. He asked that his entries remained but that his former display name was not shown. When deleting the user, I had the option of either deleting the member and his posts entirely or to let the entries stay but showing his username. So, I went and changed his display name, but alas, his old username still remains with the subtitle of "Anonymous".

Is there any way I can change this, so his username is not shown but replaced with eg. "Anonymous"? (Also ok if all deleted users former username don't show)

Edit: I dug around here and found this piece of information for an earlier version of the software. Is this still an option? Haven't been able to find anything similar in the admin area.

You'd need to run a SQL query at this point to fix it. Say his Display Name was 'joeblow'.

update ubbt_POSTS
set POST_POSTER_NAME='Anonymous'
where POST_POSTER_NAME='joeblow'
