Every midnight at 00:00 Am, the content of shoutbox becomes invisible to some of my IE7 users, even though they have permission to write + content of shoutbox becomes invisible in IE7.

I can delete the shouts with a sql query, then it works again, but next midnight it becomes invisible again .I had also noticed, that it becomes visible again when yesterdays shouts are gone.

I have checked the paths in config.inc file, checked file permissions, I have tried ftp into cache dir and cleared all,except html. file. I had tried to delete session dir, clearing browserdata, cookies, but nothing helps.

I had also tried to change charset from iso 8859-1 to UTF-8, but it didnt make any chages.

Could anyone help, please

Hmm. Try this. When it doesn't display, grab the contents directly from MySQL and post them here. Just run the following query:

select SHOUT_TEXT from ubbt_SHOUT_BOX order by SHOUT_ID asc

I think I have found the error, to why the content of shoutbox became invisible. When the date is switched after midnight, every yesterdays shouts are hovered with 'Indsendt igår xx:xx' (Posted yesterday xx:xx)

I edited my generic.php language file and typed my special char with HTML instead of typing the char from the keyboard.

I think you should consider to make a note in the installation/upgrade guide, that non-english chars can cause troubles with AJAX, and so with the shoutbox.

well, in the end it should render. it shouldn't choke on things like ™ · or © .. etc

i think we should really fix either shoutbox.js, getshouts.inc.php, shoutit.inc.php and make that work..
