Hi Folks,

I am full of questions. Thanks in advance for your help. We're using version 7.0.2 and I don't see a way to create a global message that can accept replies? Is that available on a newer version? It seems odd we can't open it up for replies if we want? This would be very effective when we need a lot of feedback as fast as possible on something. Most of our members visit specific forums exclusively and never go elsewhere. So to hear from everyone, this seems to be the best way to do it. But it won't allow it as far as I can tell.

If it's not in the current software, I wonder if it could be added in a future update?

Brian

I don't have 7.02, but allowing replies to global announcements is a very easy thing to modify in the code when I look in the 7.3.1 code. Just 2 lines changed, actually, those 2 lines are commented out to disable the checks.

So, if in need, you could ask for the modification over at UBBDev.
