Stop all e-mails being sent?
As i dont want anyone visiting the link to my
test forum, while i play?

If you are running 7.3, then you can just return out of the mailer function. Edit the libs/mailer/inc.php script. Line 232 you'll see this:

function ubbt_mail($to,$from=array(),$noreply=true,$bcc=array()) {

Right after that just add:

return;
