I have one admin/moderator board
non of my moderators can see it despite the fact it is set so
admin Globalmoderators and modarators can see, read post and reply.

Both Globalmods and mods have exactly sam permissions as I copied the moderators to the Globalmods persmission.

All moderators are set as moderators and they cannot see the moderators board. If I change a moderator to globalmoderator then he can see the moderator board..

Oh yes need to mention that some how after importing from Classic the moderators both was in moderator group and in Globalmoderator group. once I found out I updated each member permission as moderator and they were removed as global. that's when i found out they could not any longer see the moderator board.

If I'm understanding, moderators cannot see your moderator forum...

Are they moderators OF the moderator forum? if not, then they're not a moderator and thus don't have access...

No they are not moderators of the mods board.
I think I need to create a special group and put them on that group. I'll do that later today and let you know the result.

I have the same problem.

In 7.2.2 , all my moderators can see a hidden board that only allows moderators/admins. They don't need to be the moderator of that hidden board.

After upgrading to 7.3.1 , moderators report that they cannot see that board . I thought maybe the permission changed. So I add every moderator to the moderator of that hidden board , BUT they still cannot enter that board. What happned ? What should I do now ?

Forum Permissions : Can See Forum : Admin , GlobalModerators , Moderators .

I think maybe moderators cannot see that board because they are normal "User" .
So I picked up one moderator , cancel his "User" group , and he can "Only" see that hidden board and his moderating boards. He cannot see other boards.... This is so terrible.
So I enable his "user" group , and everything is OK now , he can see normal board and moderator-only board (he is still the moderator of that hidden board).

I think the permission is buggy in 7.3.1 , and need to be checked thoroughly.

This was an easy cake, Gizmo woke me up. I was steering blind at the word moderator. all moderators are moderators but visiting a forum which they do not moderate makes them users only on that particular forum.

So I created a new group which I named "Forum Moderators & VIP" then I went to
Control Panel » Group Management and moderators member which is a link with the amount of moderators. clicked on that and selected all and then chose "change group" and I added them to the "Forum Moderators & VIP" user group. then I went to

site permission >> "Forum Moderators & VIP" and then
Currently editing permissions for: the forum I wanted they to see/read/post.

no need to cancel them on the user group they can belong to more than one

Now it works perfect at least I hope so. I logged in as few moderators and it worked being login as them..

Yes , it works ... BUT ... it is too tricky and very unintuitive ...
And each time I "promote" a user to moderator , I have to add him to another "Moderator/Admin" group...

Is this the only way ? Can it go back to 7.2.2 settings ?

Yeah, same prob here. Not sure what to do to fix!
