Is there a way to load 300 images at once versus one at a time which would be tedious work to say the least.

For avatars you can just ftp them into the avatars directory, you don't need to go through the CP interface for those.

Not to sound like an IDIOT but to sound like one.

I understand the ftp since I have a yahoo storage that I use FTP all the time . . . . . What I need to know is how to FTP to friend's site . . . I have ran a BBS prior to Internet and I am familiar with the software to a point but doing ADMIN. on it is still fairly new since we lost ALL but owner and myself overnight -- I have check the manual but unless I am missing something need help to add 300 pics for AVATARS.

If I understand correctly you are trying to upload a lot of avatars to the ubb site in question. If you have the logon info for a ftp connection no admin control panel work is needed.Depending on your folder structure just upload the images to the avatar folder and they will appear to the users. Just like Rick said.
You may need to clear cache etc to make them appear but it is that simple.
