Since the upgrade my users can't edit their profiles. I edited my own when first installed, but can no longer.

Searched everywhere in the control panel to see if I've got something set wrong..but can't see it. Any suggestions of where to look? Here is the message they get:

It does not appear that this was submitted from the proper form.

I just tried to register on your site(Successful) But to change preferences or profile I get the same error. In looking at the url on the page it seems to be missing part of the string at the end(ubbthreads.php?ubb=editbasic&u=1) the "&u=1" part is missing.
I still think it is some type of path problem and you need to contact UBB to open a ticket. Or you have a corrupted file somewhere.
You have had way to many problems for this upgrade and it is time to call them.

I'm not having any unusual problems. If I can fix the ones I've had so far...they can't be that bad. I may not explain them well but I contribute and help as much as I can on the web and am not asking for anything I'm not giving...since I'm doing this upgrade for free.

Besides...isn't feedback helping the developers here? It isn't a perfect machine!

What you say is all true. And I think you explained your problem well. But if it is indeed a software bug Rick can't address it unless he can troubleshoot it. And he needs a support ticket opened to do so plus access to the control panel

Maybe someone else will chime in on the same issue you are having at this point in time if you are willing to wait.

Check your sessions directory and make sure it's has full write permission. There is a session variable that needs to check against the form key. If the session directory can't be written to, then you'll get this error.

Hi Rick...thanks for a great forum program. Especially like the interactive styles settings.

The sessions permissions are read-write-execute-delete(windows server so it is difficult set permissions with precision). I will have their server double check the site permissions as they have very high security and often I find there is a delay when I change things in this site's control panel.

I can't recall if Profile Editing stopped working after I imported UBBClassic into it but I know it did work for me after the install. I'll also check out Ruben's link and finally take the time to check my xhtml validation as I have a customized css drop down menu header that has thrown of a thing or two in other places in the site.

I removed my cutomized menu and all the code associated with it and the problem was not solved. I may just try and completely redo the installation of 7.4 and re import my Ubbclassic.

Looks like you fixed your profile/pref problem. DO you know what finally fixed it?

You will also have to replace the copyright "Powered by ...." notice that you have removed from the bottom of your forum. wink
