I am just setting up my forum and i need to enable the members gallery but i need help, How wou;d i build it and enable it on the left of the forum?

Basically you'll want to create a gallery forum. Then in the Control Panel under Portal, you'll use the Gallery Islands to create a Gallery island to pull images from that gallery forum. Once that's done you just edit the Portal Layout and choose that Gallery Island to be displayed in the left column.

Thank you that worked! one more thing, On the main portal page i want to have recent topics come up in the middle of the page, Could you tell me how?

In the control panel select Portal>Portal settings.
You then have a field called "Forums to pull news from"
You can multi select each forum to display in the portal.
Then change "Number of news items to display on the Main Portal page?" to however many posts to display.

If you have private forums then don't select them.

The portal page in the center only shows recent topics. At the bottom right of each post is a field called comments that is the replies.
You can add a post island on the side to show recent posts which will show replies.
For moderators goto display options>General>Forum Summary Options and deselect Show forum moderators.

if you see on the portal page it is posting the recent post i would like just the title of that post to show up.

You might need to play with the rss feeds to display on a seperate page or goto UBBDev.COM and look for a hack to add in.

Not sure what three you are talking about.
They are pretty much standard islands

so i build an island and put it on the portal page?

Yep. You have a few different Island types so enable the one you want and then add it in the portal layout. Poof done.
