One of my forum members has 32 received PM's (which he wants to keep), and when users try to send him a PM they get the message "this user has exceeded their private message quota..."

He says that he should be able to have 50 PM's. Is there a setting that determines the PM limit, and can it be changed for one user?

The limit setting is found in the Group Management. Next to the group that the user is in click 'Site'. In the first column, 5th line down, you'll see 'Total # of private topics allowed'.

I think that the only way that you can increase it for that user (or selected users) would be to create another group, transfer him / her to that group and increase the limit.

Perhaps that is only possible with the latest version - I am still running 6.5.5, and in the Group Management area, I only have settings (in the Group Access tab) that allow me to specify which forums the group can access/read/reply.
