Users suppose to have one membership for website and forum.

On the other hand, we have 2 different membership for each but I want to combine them together, and want to use our membership on forum, rather than use forum's login name on our website.

I mean, I want to use our membership on the forum (One username - one login name for website and forum).

In this case what should I do?

Are you looking to have one user database for your entire site as so the user's do not have to log in more then once for different parts of your web site?

UBB does not currently support that as far as I know. This would have to be a hack in then login process of the UBB. The problem is that every time you make an upgrade to a newer version of the UBB you will have to re do your hack again. The places you may need to add your code may not be in the same exact files and some variables may change form one version to the next as well.

this is totally doable as a modification -- one file only needs to be changed.. ubbthreads.php, to handle things..

it can be session, cookie, htaxx or DB based -- really.

so at least it's only one file to keep track of during upgrades..

using beyond compare makes syncing perty easy too..

UBBDev peeps might help you out some smile
