FEATURE: Added blaaskaak's modification that gives an option to rename an entire thread on the Manage Topic dropdown. Modified so if you have any permissions to manage a topic you will get the option.

Rick, I am interested in launching a blog, but am waiting because I believe I read that soon the forums will have some type of blog functionality. Is this true. If so, will it be the same as using wordpress or Google's blog format? Thanks.

A basic Blog at first which in all essences as were lead to understand its a extension to a users profile.
What you can and cant do is yet to be seen.

Any chance of an edit page that would show which Custom Islands are activated in which forums (in a matrix or spreadsheet format) and then with a simple click, the ability to turn the island on or off? Maybe enter the island number into a cell.(?)
I'd like to rotate my islands (news, ads, volunteer requests, etc) more often but it's very labor intensive. I would think that this would be a good addition for club, and business Boards.

one week name them 1,3,5,7,9 and the following week 2,4,6,8,10
Thats how i move mine around. So there is always a slot to move an island into

Mark, do you mean that any member can create a blog from thier member profile? I'm not sure what you mean.

It will be a grop based permission system and when available the user will be able to post blogs. The profile will have a section for their blogs along with a few other things.
Cool, I'm looking forward to the new toys. Would be great to have a CI that will pull the latest blog posts with the option to show title only, title+ excerpt and title+ entire post. Maybe even a latest comment CI :thumbsup:

Good feature. I just figured it out. You need to change the title of the first post in the thread then select "Rename this topic" under "Manage Topic". You will receive a message "The selection action has been completed."
This will be very, very useful. I can't think how many times I've had to change 20 or 30 titles.
