Just upgraded from 7.4 to 7.4.2. Was simple to rebuild the portal and my custom portal items. Added two of the new boxes - top posters of last 30 days and featured member. They don't appear even after setting them to rebuild. Didn't think it was a coincidence that they are the only ones that weren't in the 7.4 install. Upgrade went well, so it said. Will they come in automatically after a caching period? Thanks, Mig

You might try clearing the cache from within the CP and see if that gets them to show.

Still no dice. I noticed that the includes folder now has a "portal_islands.php" that wasn't copied over because the upgrade notes say to leave that folder alone. I just copied it over, but no effect. Necessary to run a script?

I had tweaked the old portal template to lengthen the shoutbox, but can't think of anything I might have done that would affect this upgraded install. Places to look? Files not uploaded or permissioned correctly somewhere? Thanks.

I have the same situation. I just assumed that the system was waiting for 30 days to accumulate posts and at the end of the 30 days will begin to post the results on a recurring basis. No ??

I wondered about that, but that wouldn't explain why the Featured Member box wouldn't appear for me either. Again, those are the only two I didn't have in the 7.4 install and they are the only two not appearing under 7.4.2.

Probably want one of you to open a support ticket so I can take a closer look.

If anyone is still having this issue I believe I've found a couple problems where it's not building on some installs. Looking into a solution now.

Possibly. If I can get a support ticket opened with admin info and ftp info to your site I can test to make sure I have this fixed for 7.5.

I don't see it in the changelog.

It seems to be an intermittent problem that's going to have to be handled on an individual basis. There are some upgrades where the top_posters_30 the featured_member entries didn't get put into the PORTAL_BOXES table.

Not exactly why this happens for some users during the upgrade, but only appears to be some. Anyone with the problem can open a support ticket and we can get it resolved.

I can't seem to get the top posters 30 days to build in cache.
To recap that post I have a live and test board on the same host.
The island works on the live board which has been upgraded the last few versions but not on the test board.
The test board I just re-started from scratch with a net new install today. This is version 7.4.2
Your old login probably does not work anymore since I changed hosts.

You are probably pre-occupied with 7.5 right now but if you wish I can open a support ticket. It is just the test board right now that has the problem with the island.

Just FYI.
In my case UBB did not write to the tables for the top poster 30 day Island.
So Rick just ran a SQL command to add the island in the tables.
All is well now.

Aye it built fine on mine 2 days ago when I downloaded and went for broke. I also changed them over from a windows box to a linux box and it took to that very easily as well. The biggest issue was the IRC mod (Gizmo's mod at UBBDev) and that took about 5 mins to fix. So all in all with the exception of the shoutbox disappearing at random it is a great build. I am still playing with it though so there is way more room to break it.
