Attached a file to a post after the intial post (during a edit post session). File uploaded fine. It was a PDF file and pdf is in the allowed attachements in the CP. When the file is clicked in the post itself, the "Save As" screen comes up with "ubbforums.php" as the file name instead of the actual file name in the query string of the file manager link. If you save the "ubbforums.php" file and change it to the proper extension, it is the right file, jus the naming during the save operation is broken.

Using XP/IE7 browser.

Also does this without editing, just on initial post as well.

I use PDF files extensively on my Website and am not having a problem with them.

Any idea how to fix this then. Every file we put in a post with file manager wants to download as "ubbforums.php" even though the file is a pdf, or jpg. The file downloads properly, just the naming is incorrect.

This seems like a similar problem to one we have with images that have been uploaded with filemanager. Rick has been working with us on a fix and appears to have cracked it.
I believe the fix will be incorporated into ubb 7.5

For us this issue was introduced when we upgraded from ubb 722 to 741. Upgrading to 742 didn't help.

Everything worked fine for us in 7.4.1, but after the upgrade is when we saw it. I don't know if that's a coincidence of not though. Thanks for the update.

We made a few changes to address a couple issues with this in 7.4.2, specifically PDF files. We've got a few more changes in 7.5 to the download script in general that should fix the naming issue as well as a few other problems that needed fixing.
