I'm not sure if this is a UBB.threads issue or if it is with Vista or IE7. First of all, I have replaced the default "favicon.ico" in all the folders under "/forum/images/general" with my own. I have created a shortcut to my board and put it on my Quick Launch Bar. When I visit my board, my custom favicon.ico is displayed in the Address Bar in IE7. However, the icon for the shortcut on the QL Bar always changes to the default UBB.threads ico. So, I opened the Properties for the shortcut and changed the icon to my custom one from a folder on my HDD. But after closing IE and returning to my board, the icon on the QL Bar changes back to the UBB.threads icon.

What am I missing here? Is there another instance of the default UBB.threads favicon.ico somewhere that also needs to be changed? Or is there something else I need to do locally on my PC?

I just tried ie7 and ff3 and the favicon is not infopops

Do you have it in the head.tpl file. That is the only place I have found it to work. I will say that I have not gotten it to ever work in opera or I.E.7 so it may be the browser is looking for it to be written a certain way.
