Hi,

I was updating the permissions on files and folders to get the OK on permissions checks.

I updated permissions on the sessions folder and all of the files within to 666 and now I can't see the control panel at all. admin/login.php shows nothing... a blank page!!!

I can't even get the login page admin/login.php to display errors... error_reporting(E_ALL);

It sounds like maybe you set a directory to 666 instead of 777. Double check that the sessions directory has a 777 permission.

Yes, the Sessions dir has a permission set to 777. I still see nothing on the control panel page. Otherwise the forum seems to be working fie.

I'd check the permissions on the admin directory as well. If you're getting a blank page after doing permission changes, one of the directories probably got inadvertantly changed.

Yes it is just there to stop a index view of the files.
You might need to go through all your file permissions use the documentation section noted at the top left of the screen here.

Just to double check all file permissions it would be best.

Permissions all seem to be correct. Why would a permission change on the sessions directory cause the login page in the control panel to not display at all?

Ok I noticed that no files are in the ubbthreads/templates/default/admin directory. I'm really not sure how they got removed. But I'm betting that's why I see nothing when I try to control panel.
