The featured forum of my site is where I post articles, photos, etc. that I'd like to showcase on the portal page. However, after the upgrade to 7.5.2 my images are sized differently between the forum itself and what is being shown on the portal page. I always use photobucket to host my photos and I simply resize them there and copy and paste the IMG tag into the post.
The photos appear the correct size in the forum post but the portal page still has them too large. Any idea what the heck is going on or how to fix? Before the upgrade, I never had this problem.

Looking at the first current post you made with the three hog picture I see what you mean.
Since they are not in the gallery I would suspect that you may need to tweak one setting.
Control Panel » Feature Settings

Max width for images used in posts?
Specified in px. Uses browser scaling. Leave blank to disable.
I think the default is set to 400, at least mine is set to that and I don't recall changing it.

But anyway I would think that setting should apply to the topic as well as the portal setting.

How can the portal page over ride what photobucket has the image scaled to? Meaning, the photo appearing larger than what it is my photobucket account. That's where I'm getting confused.

in your config, you have a maximum width of 400px defined. what happens when this is the case is, the header.tpl file (on the fly) inserts an inline style for .post_inner img that limits ANY image in a POST to 400px..

soooo, when you look at it in a regular post, the photobucket image (which is really 640x400) is resized down to a max-width of 400px..

HOWEVER, the portal page doesn't use the .post_inner img class when it displays a post.. it instead uses alt-1.. totally different..

sooooo, the portal page will display the images with no limitation as they are stored on photobucket...

that's why the diff..

This should be fixed to at least be the same in both places, so you can then decide what your limit will be and have it apply equally wink

I made the change for you, so it matches now smile

ps: the simple fix is to open portal.tpl and change line 14 to reference post_inner, instead of alt-1..
