No, it doesn't actually use shortURLs at this point; just kind of shoves links down googles throats lol...

I'm going to likely be looking at the various shorturl options for a new version in the future...

What file is editted to turn on and off manually the enable spider friendly urls?

What do you have to alter within that file to do this?

It is a setting in the ubb control panel.
cp>>Primary settings-Advanced.

Ruben, rather than the setting within the Control Panel, can I get the following information?

What file is editted to turn on and off manually the enable spider friendly urls?

What do you have to alter within that file to do this?

The file itself is the includes/config.inc.php. You're looking for SEARCH_FRIENDLY_URLS

When it's set to 1, it's turned on. When it's set to 0 it's off.
