It is possible to have a few forums that are in a different language than the rest of the site?

We were hoping to host a few French Language forums in our boards for our new French Language Sister Site (www.boutdechou.ca) to get the community building before hosting it permanently there.

Just wondering if it's a possibility?

I am not aware of this in stock code.
A workaround might be to just name the forum in french. Add a french introduction. And advise the visitor to select the french language in Mystuff>preferences. But of course the preference section and registration will be in english till they change it. But then the registration becomes a moot point after the fact.

This might be a nice feature suggestion. That a new visitor can opt for different languages. Like a lot of technical sites I visit have now when visiting the home page.

It would be nice to have both the posts and the board display in the languages that are selected by the user.

Meaning if your board is in French and someone wonders in that speaks English both the posts and board would be in their native language.
