I have noticed that UBB.threads 8.0 will go to the beta testers in two phases, first for the admin panel and then for the user interface.
I'm guessing afterward will be the public beta stage. Do you know how will this work? Since this is a huge release, I personally think there should be a Gamma (aka Release Candidate) version just after the public beta stage but before UBB.threads 8.0 goes Gold. That way we can ensure there are no lingering bugs before the Gold release.

I understand that there will definitely be more than one public beta release, however, I still think that just before UBB.threads 8.0 goes Gold, there should be a Gamma or Release Candidate version just to ensure that UBB.threads 8.0 is nearly bug free. That way, there will be less of a need to release an 8.0.1 version.

Both of you have a little confused. I have not seen a beta release for the public in quite a while.
