Hello there, I'm a web designer and have a client who has asked me for a portal site as part of their project. (website is being created in WordPress) So I've told I'll do some research into both opensource options and paid options.

Obviously these forum look to be a hive of activity, so there must be a pretty good reason why you all seem very loyal users.

So can any users please list for me their personal 3 top reason why they chose this over any other forum/community portal software?

1. Support

There isn't another product like this that gets so much support. Everyone on here helps out and even the developer Rick reads the forums most days. There is also a support ticket area available if the forums can't help which usually gets a reply within a few hours.

2. Development

This is a dynamic project that it always being developed and more importantly the views and requests of the members is always taken in to consideration.

3. Features

With every new release comes new features. There are also new features being worked on now for the next version. You just need to look around to see what it available and if there's something that you're interested in just drop it in the Feedback & Suggestions forum.
