I and another admin have both, separately, tried to switch the default viewing mode from flat to threaded.

The submit button works. Everything looks like it worked. But the default still doesn't get changed.

Any ideas ?

well, the ubb has a configuration file, i'm not 100% sure where it is on 6.5, but it should be named config.inc.php; it needs to be chmodded 666, if it's not writeable, no settings will stick

Um...... UBB.classic never had threaded mode.....



Anyway, assuming UBB.threads... if you switch default to threaded, and YOUR personal view is flat, you're gonna see it flat. You might be running into that with your testing.
