Members log-in, leave, comeback and they're not logged-in. So they have to log-in again each time they come to the forums.

v7.5.4.2, but the same problem with previous versions.

guess I could tell them to get a *real* browser wink

Many people had problems with IE8. The Windows platform that works best for IE8 is Windows 7 other then that many problems have been reported.

Best solution is to use FireFox.

So it just doesn't seem to be remembering them? Same thing with you, or have you tested with IE8?

I have tested with IE8, never have any issues with it remembering my login.

You know I thought I was going crazy but my new PC was not remembering my logins for all of the forums I go to. I am loaded with Windows 7 and IE8 then all of a sudden it stopped doing that.

Several users having problems with IE8 and Win7 remembering their log-in password. I don't use IE except for testing, and have not had the problem myself.

FordDoctor typifies what our users are reporting with IE8 -- remembers, then doesn't, then might start later...or not.

This seems to be a fairly common problem with IE8 on a variety of sites. Doing a bit of searching I came across this fix posted about the issue with problem regarding Facebook:

Quote:

For me the issue was Tools/Internet Options/General/Browsing History/Delete Browsing History on Exit. Deselecting that box and now I stay signed in after exiting IE.
