I wanted to put my gallery island at the top of the home page.

Not clear on the question.
I see you have a few gallery forums and you have a random image island on the bottom left.
Are you asking to move the forum to the top to change the forum order or are you asking something else? Like moving a island above the current header?

you'd have to modify header.tpl and prolly html.inc.php for the send_header routine..

Yeah I want to move the random photo island to the top. Sounds like it could be complicated atleast for me.

Well you could cheat a little with the built in tools with the control panel.

First goto:
Control Panel » Portal Layout
Select the external use link to the right of the island in question.
When it opens you will see
Code to place inside your PHP enabled webpage.:

Select the whole section starting with <?php up to including ?>
copy it.

Then goto
Control Panel » Display Options
select the HTML Includes tab.

Paste in the
Default header text box.
Click the update button.

It will be centered as default for formatting.
But give it a try.
