Stuck On Step 3 Of Installation

Can anyone please help, i am stuck on step 3 of the installation and i do not know what to do.

Looks like a database connect issue.
Did you setup a database prior.
You need to.
The script will not create a database for you.
You will need to goto whatever tool your host provides and create a database,Then a user and password.
Then use that info in step two.

If you did then maybe you have a incorrect user/password in step two.
Could be case sensitive.
Also the db user account should be pretty much setup as a user with global rights.

Yeah ive done all that correctly, as it says above it has connected to the database ok.

I have to admit when i go into my database it says
"The additional features for working with linked tables have been deactivated. To find out why click here."

Well here is my thinking. You may be connecting to the database but the assigned user for ubb does not have rights to modify the table.
So either look at the user name/password again.
Verify that user has global privileges.

I have never seen the message you get for linked tables have been deactivated. But I would guess the assigned user has limited rights.
