Using firefox trying to access ubbcentral.com and mindraven.com the browser would just stall loading the page. For 10 15 minutes.
Then I also noticed that my site using the hosting affiliates banner in a island was having the same problem. Till I disabled the island.
Now all of a sudden it seems to be working okay at all sites.
Whats up with that?
I don't like the part of the affiliate link using a island brings my site down also.

I was unable to access central for quite a while. I posted that on the Mindraven FB page. Dev and Skins loaded fine, but I don't know if those are hosted on the same server.

I was actually surfing central, and then went to post something in the shoutbox, and that's when it stopped for me. It loaded once without styles, but nothing worked. Maybe I broke it!

Well Like I said I was more concerned that my site went down also. Or at least it seemed to during the time until I deleted the island linking to the affiliate site. www.mindraven.com

We're switching over to a new monitoring solution and had turned the old one off before the final switch was made so we didn't get an alert when we had an apache lockup.

As for the affiliate link, you're free to copy your chosen ad to your local server so it loads locally instead of remotely.

What stumped me was it caused the whole board to crawl to the point it would take minutes to load in the browser. Not just that the island was hosed.
