I have just imported by UBB Classic into version 7.5.5. In UBB.classic I used to be able to make all forums viewable, but not the list of topics within each forum. Presently, if I set the Forums, Users Read=1 and Topics Read Users=0, they can still see the list of topics, but not the contents within each topic.

How do I make UBB.threads work like UBB.Classic where that *only* the forum title/description is viewable, but nothing beyond that unless they have specific group permissions?

Sounds like you want a teaser forum.
There is one at this site.
Look for teaser forum a little below this one in the forum summary page.
You can see a forum but can't open it unless you have permissions to do so.

Control Panel » Forum Settings » Edit Forum
Is Teaser Forum?
Read the note and enable it if that is what you want.
