I am just about ready to go live on the new server. I have been testing with forum data from about a month ago. We have not changed any of the message board files, I did the transfer by following these directions http://www.ubbcentral.com/forums/ubbthre...html#Post178189

I assume I can just dump the test data and then import the live data into the new database and all will be good?

Thanks,

yep, i do it all the time on my dev/production systems smile

usually the mysqldump will include a DROP TABLE, so you don't (normally) even have to dump the DB...

just import and it is like fresh/new smile

Cool! All the hard work is just about done. Just waiting to hear back from the club president to make sure he is happy with my work smile

Man that works great. I just tried it to refresh the testing copy and worked great, closed the live board did a dump of the database, imported it to the test one and all is great!
