Is there a easy way to say create a forum on one board.
Use it for a while.
Then at a future time export that forum to a new board including the user data that posted in the one forum.

I don't see why not... I mean just use the most current DB save and should work fine. I have had to do that a couple of times when I shifted servers... I just installed then I just pointed the new boards to the db and voila it was done. Painless.

Well I am talking about say you have a board with 10 forums.
Then I would wish to export forum 5 only to a new board/site.

Ahhhh not sure about that one but it is probably a SQL query that identifies the forums and ADDTO the UBBTABLES but I am no expert and that is truly just a guess.

I leave it for the experts. smile

Yes for a simple thing. But I was wishing to also not import all members just the members that posted in that specific forum.
Depending on how many different members post it could get cumbersome.

The reason I asked is because another trade organization had been hacked on their board so they closed it.
I offered to add some forums for them to use in the interim.
Eventually they probably will purchase ubb.
They had a paid member only access to their original board.
So I was looking for a nice tidy way to just export the forum they used with the posting members intact. Not including our regular members.
As long as it is just a few members that would be okay.

But thinking this over as I am typing, if I assign a unique group to just that forum. Then doing the same as the forum with members purge out all members except for members in that group. Should be fairly easy also.

So see, I could not see the forest for the trees and one comment and now it looks fairly simple.

Yea, it took me a while to figure it out.
I thought it would a hokey problem but it can be fairly easy I guess.
Just did not look at all my options close enough.
