Was currently running Photopost for our forum's photo gallery, but with the switch to 7.5.5 I was wondering if there was a way to transfer all of the PhotoPost pictures/details to our forum gallery?

Not currently in the stock code. But this has been asked for several times in the suggestion forum.
Not specifically for photopost but as a mass upload.

So, can anyone think of a feasible way to do a mass move from one category of PhotoPost to a single 7.5.5 gallery? Say, Camaros category on my PhotoPost to the Camaros category [gallery forum] on my 7.5.5 site?

I don't think I'm up to the task for moving 5,000 photos over 1 by 1...!

would be custom coding needed.. also, i've watched photopost versions over the years and they went away from having all 5000 images in one directory..

broke it up into many more manageable sub-dirs.. and sub-subs

ubbt does this to some extent with the 3 types of images (thumb, med, full), but it would still end up being a huge ass 3 dirs of files in the end..

at some point, the ubbt gallery might consider breaking up the sub-dirs as well..

Interesting topic. I've found PP's development to be incredibly disappointing. I've seen a post by the owner basically stating they hardly make money on it, and they aren't going to try and be flikr blah blah blah, but how do you expect people to constantly be paying yearly service fees when they offer nothing new, like geolocation or anything.

We'd definitely like to extend the gallery feature enough to where we can offer importers from the various photo gallery software available. Would definitely be a tricky process for a couple reasons, but it's something we'd certainly like to do.

Any update on this?
